Montauk Surf Report (August 7, 2005)
On Saturday 8/6 I fished east of Ditch Plains and just to the east of the trailer park. We arrived about 30 minutes after sunrise (slow getting up in the morning) and hit small bass just to the east of "the rock". They hit small poppers and swimmers.
Sunday I fished a late morning at Culloden Point. The result was 2 bluefish and 2 small stripers within the first 45 minutes, then the tide died out and the action stopped.
Both days had perfect weather with just enough of a breeze to keep it from getting too hot!
